Lucas Olo Fernandes is a lawyer by training, joined Transparency International (TI) as Regional Coordinator for Central Africa in 2012. He held the position of Interim Internal Managing Director of TI in 2016 and he is currently Programmes Coordinator in charge of Latin American and African countries. He previously worked for Dow Jones Risk and Compliance and he is also member of CEIDGE, one of the most important NGOs in Equatorial Guinea, his home country. In 2017 he published an Op-Ed in the New York Times where he denounced the role of financial institutions, companies and banks in the looting of African resources.
