Honorable Bégoto Miarom
African Union Advisory Board on Corruption
Chairperson of the Board
Hon. Miarom, of Chadian nationality, was elected as a member of the AUABC during the 30th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 25th to 27th January 2017. He took the oath of Office on 24th July 2017 during the inaugural session of the Board held in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania, at the headquarters of the AUABC.
Honourable Miarom was elected by his peers as Chairperson of the Board during the same session for a mandate of 2 years. Hon. Miarom is the Deputy Secretary General of the Court of Auditors in Chad. He is also Chairperson of the National Commission of the Organization for the Harmonization of Legal Affairs in Africa (OHADA).
Between 2011 and 2014, Honourable Miarom occupied different positions in the Ministry of Justice in Chad including:
- Deputy Director General of Legislation Research and Cooperation;
- Director General of Prevention of Corruption and Promotion of Good Governance; and
- Director of International Legal Affairs and Cooperation.
