Gari Villa-Landa is a Molecular Biologist with 3 master courses: Environmental Management, Planning & Management of Cooperation for Development and Water Law. She has worked in the Conference of Ibero-American Water Directors (CODIA), organising its meetings, coordinating the Ibero-American Water Training Program and participating in the formulation and development of programs for the protection and sustainable use of water resources. She has also worked on regulatory issues with the Spanish General Directorate of Water. Since 2015 she is Head of International Affairs at the Spanish Association of Water Supply and Sanitation (AEAS). As a representative of AEAS in EurEau, she evaluates European directives and initiatives related to water; she is member of the Steering Committee of the OECD Water Governance Initiative; she’s also the representative of AEAS in the IWA (Spanish Governing Member); and, she’s responsible of any other AEAS international initiatives/activities.
