Arwa holds degrees from Cambridge University in England (BA & MA) and Warwick University (MA). In addition to English (her mother tongue), Arwa speaks fluent Arabic, German, French and Italian. She is an international development specialist with 20 years spent focusing on the Middle East North Africa region. She has worked closely with civil society organizations, the private sector and governments for many years. Arwa was with the German Government Development Agency, GTZ for two years and was with Transparency International for more than sixteen years, most recently as Regional Outreach Manager building strategic partnerships in the MENA region. She regularly lectures and presents at international fora and various universities on the issues of combating corruption, governance and institutional reform in the Arab World. She has trained officials and civil society in the MENA region on governance and anti-corruption. She is now Programme Director of the Good Governance Cluster.
