Head of Sustainability and Corporate Governance /Board Member
Andreas is heading up IFU’s Sustainability Unit. He works with Environmental, Social and Governance issues related to IFU’s investment process. He is also responsible for IFU’s reporting on development effects and the SDG’s as well as training of investment officers in ESG issues. He is also practice lead for Corporate Governance. He is a member of IFU’s decision making body the Investment Committee ensuring that ESG aspects is considered in all of IFU’s investments in developing countries.

Prior to joining IFU Andreas worked as Head of the Ecology and Environment Department at DHI a consulting company specialising in water and environment. Earlier on Andreas worked as a technical adviser for 10 years with Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danida and 3 years for the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.

He has worked and lived in Bolivia, Malawi, Madagascar and Zambia.

Andreas has an educational background as a biologist from Copenhagen University 1990.
