Miguel Peñailillo is a lawyer and international consultant with 20 years of professional experience in the fight against corruption, ethics, transparency and accountability. He is currently working as transparency specialist and civil society initiatives coordinator in El Salvador (USAID Project). He has advised governmental and sectorial anti-corruption preventive policies in differente latin american countries. He also has designed and conducted numerous consultancies and capacity building programmes on ethics, transparency and the prevention of crime for a variety of universities, organizations and public institutions throughout Latin America. Prior to this, he was the Coordinator of Transparency International for the Anti-corruption Conventions Programme of the Americas. Also, he worked for 7 years with the Chilean Council for Internal Auditing where he was Technical Secretary. At the same time he served as Chilean representative at the OAS Committee of Experts for the Inter American Convention against Corruption and represented Chile in negotiation meetings of the UNCAC
