Katja Bechtel is leading Transparency International’s (TI’s) global work on business integrity from the TI secretariat in Berlin. This includes global advocacy and representation in international fora such as the B20 and the UN Global Compact, as well as capacity building of TI’s more than 100 Chapters around the world.  Before joining TI in 2012, Katja worked as a Policy Advisor and Public Affairs Manager at Bayer AG and at an industry association in Brussels, Belgium. She mainly focused on EU and international agricultural and environmental policies. Katja holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Mannheim, Germany, and a Master of Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Germany.
